"Colour is really important as it affects our mood, so give some thought to the look and feel that you would like to create" says Angela. When trying to visualize your curtain design, Angela's handy tip is to sketch out your window treatment to scale on a piece of graph paper. "This will help ensure that you have the correct proportions and is particularly useful when planning a valance or pelmet to complement your curtains", says Angela "It's the first thing I do when designing a window dressing".
