About The Toy Cupboard.

From the moment you walk into The Toy Cupboard, you are greeted with a warm welcome. We are slightly tucked away, just up from The Pasty House, but once you find us, we are sure you'll be delighted with our range of stunning toys.
We have a wide range to suit boys and girls from 0-99 years, and many which will be a real blast from the past, including a wooden egg and spoon set and a beautiful traditional wooden train set.
So feel free to pop up and have a browse through our beautiful shop and have a chat and explore the 'Aladdin's cave' of toys unique to Tavistock, Devon.

Quality toy shop based in Tavistock, Devon

The Toy Cupboard is based in Tavistock, Devon and provides a wide range of beautiful wooden & tin toys, retro games and children's clothing. Karen Daw is the owner of The Toy Cupboard, trading in the Pannier Market since the year 2000 where she started off with a children's business selling a range of second hand children's clothing and equipment. Due to personal commitments she had a small break from this business and therefore sold it off. In 2011 an opportunity to come back into the children's market appeared before her when a small business was up for sale within the local Tavistock Pannier Market. She turned it from a small two table stall to a permanent four table fixture within the Market. Over the years her following has increased and therefore as part of a new venture she decided to move into a shop premises as of the 1st January 2016. Karen is a mother of four children and therefore brings with her many years experience, her eldest son also being a business owner will be located within the premises in the offices at the back of the shop providing his range of business services and computer support.
