Thomson Bancks Tewkesbury

I used this firm to advise me regarding my separation from my wife. I had previously used them for conveyancing on several occasions. In addition my family have used them for wills and the setting up of a family trust. After going through a very acrimonious divorce I was left with very little money whilst waiting for the proceeds from the sale of my matrimonial home. 2 years after attending what I thought was an initial free discussion I received a bill for £500 and the threat of court action if I did not pay within 7 days. Despite explaining to them that i could not pay until my house sale had gone through in 8 weeks time they would not back down. I am a single dad with 2 small children trying to rebuild my life. Life is hard for me. Thomson and Bancks showed no empathy towards me or my situation despite my promise to pay and previous extensive use of the firm. I would not recommend this firm as they are ruthless and clearly not interested in maintaining existing clients. They describe themselves as "family" solicitors - they are not! Disappointing.
