About

About Us

Walking Photography is a new, original and creative way of keeping healthy! Walking Photographer Tours are created and delivered by artist, photographer and designer Rich Bunce (AKA Walking Photographer). The key goals of Walking Photographer Tours are to deliver a variety of courses that benefit physical, mental and social wellbeing in an enjoyable and interesting way.

The digital revolution has made photography more accessible and economical than ever. The rise in popularity and advancements in technology mean that photo walks are one of the most cost effective ways of staying healthy!

As a nation we have become more inactive than ever. In recent studies Walking for Health revealed that only 4-6% of men and women meet recommended daily activity levels. Another study discovered that 25%-30% of boys and girls were considered "very inactive", while 0% of girls aged 11-15 are meeting recommended daily activity levels.

Photo walks provide a new way to stay active and feel healthy while having fun. Going outside and experiencing nature in any environment stimulates a biological reaction called biophilia and can leave people feeling inspired, more positive and with a clearer head. Walking Photographer Tours introduces people to the wonders of photo walks and equips them with the skills necessary to start their own walking photographic explorations.

This was an excellent day which was both informative and good fun. The mix of theory and practice sessions help to consolidate learning. The day increased my confidence and understanding of how to use my camera to its full potential.

An excellent beginners course. A mixture of theory and practical photography in that you get to practice what you have learned on the day during the local walks you are taken on. I would recommend this one day course to anyone with a camera who wants to know how to improve and vary their images.

Testimonials

It was very helpful, and has reduced my fear of exploring the camera settings, and I can now begin to control the options!

The course was a good combination of teaching general principles of photography, and personal tuition and help with each person’s cameras.
