Westflex Ltd. was established in 2001 to service the retail display packaging markets in the UK and Ireland, with a range of high quality bags and films. A sister company, to the long established, Portex Verpakkingen B.V. in Holland, Westflex brought to the market over 35 years experience in flexible packaging, supported by an excellent range of innovative PP display quality bags, laminate pouches, shrink sleeves and plain and printed films. As a supplier to the some of the most prestigious brand owners and high street retailers we have been able to rapidly develop our market position based on our ability to provide the ideas, service and quality required to satisfy the modern demands of innovative, cost effective yet practical packaging solutions.

Shrink Sleeves

Westflex offers a wide selection of printed or plain shrink sleeves that can be used in numerous market sectors eg. food, beverage, personal care pharmaceuticals etc. All shrink sleeves are made to individual customer requirements and can be printed in up to eight colours.

Several advantages of shrink sleeves:
A shrink sleeve fits like a second skin around the product.
It is a very versatile and flexible method of packaging.
Professional presentation through high-quality 360 degree printing.
Tamper evident function (sealed tops/lids).
A shrink sleeve gives the product extra protection.
Highly suitable for promotional packaging (double packaging).
Choose from various materials such as PVC, PET and PLA.

BioPLAx Packaging

Westflex also takes consideration for the more environmentally conscious consumers, so we have our complete range of products available manufactured from BioPLAx PLA films. The advantage of BioPLAx PLA is that it is 100% compostable and is produced from renewable and sustainable vegetable based raw materials such as maize and sugar cane. BioPLAx PLA complies with both the European and USA composting standards, EH13432 and ASTM D6400.

We also offer our Flowrap and Block Bottom bags manufactured with Natureflex, compostable and bio-degradable re-generated cellulose film.

Polypropylene Bags

Westflex Ltd offers a wide range of high quality readymade bags for use in a diverse range of food and non-food applications. Included in our product range are block bottom, cross bottom, flowrap, side seal, titan and header bags, available in OPP, CastPP & laminates, either plain or printed in up 8 colours.
While the majority of bags are made to individual customer requirements, we also stock a range of the more popular styles in a limited range of sizes.

Laminate Pouches

Westflex Ltd offers a wide range of laminate pouches, suitable for packing both food and non-food, liquid, powder & solid products. Our pouches are manufactured to individual customer requirements either plain or printed using a range of laminate substrates, including PET, LDPE, CastPP, OPP, polyamide and alu foil.
The pouches are available in various types/formats, including vacuum, stand-up, shaped, grip-seal (re-closable) & with header section for euro-hole.
