There are so many hypnotherapy schools and ways to study it feels a little like taking a gamble selecting one. Debbie's taster days are a great idea to get to know more about the course and the tutor. I wasn't able to attend one but had a long chat (probably an an hour) with Debbie to answer all of my questions. Having just completed training with YHT I would say that getting to meet the tutor in advance is essential. I've met several other trainers too and I know their courses are good, what's important though is a finding a tutor who you gel with - you're going to be spending a lot of time with them. Debbie is a great tutor. Very knowledgeable and experienced, for me it's important that she is still a practicing hypnotherapist working with clients week in week out so keeping her own skills at the leading edge. She has a great sense of humor and is very engaging in class but for me the icing on the cake is how accessible she makes herself. She really cares that her students learn well and if the class begins at 9.30, she'll be there 30 minutes before that and is happy to talk over thing that will help you. She answers emails between classes and if you get really stuck you can call her anytime. She once spent 30 minutes with me on a Sunday morning when I had difficulty with a client I was working on for my case study. There are other hypnotherapy schools, many I'm sure are excellent, but if I were to take a course again with what I know now I would select YHT this time too.
