Family tree research can be unpredictable and time consuming. Your Ancestral Roots offers a variety of professional services making for a treasured keepsake. The company supplies family history profiles that are tailored to each customer's needs ranging from helping with your own family history research or as unique gift for birthdays christening or wedding celebrations.

Our Services

Services include a free 30 minute initial consultation meeting, a fully sourced genealogical report listing ancestors' dates of birth, marriage, and death, places of origin, residences, and occupations, two family tree diagrams of direct ancestry and full ancestry - printouts of all the census returns, baptismal records, certificates that have been collated during the course of the research and more. Your Ancestral Roots will provide a family tree and will cover the birth, marriage and death of each member of a line within your family tree, for example: your father, your father's father, etc. Back until the early 1800's. It will give details of who each male ancestor married and lists names, occupations and residences of all immediate family members as found in the census. Your Ancestral Roots provides individuals with a professional family tree and genealogy service to a high standard.

Research

If you would like me to carry out the research for you then please contact me with the the following details:

• What you would like me to research,
• Details of what you know so far including any dates or places of birth, marriage and death.

A typical tree for one surname line will cover the birth, marriage and death of each member of a line within your family tree, for example: your father, your father's father, etc, back until the early 1800s.


It will give details of who each male ancestor married, and lists names, occupations, and residences of all immediate family members as found in the censuses.

My Service includes...

• printouts of all the census returns, baptismal records, certificates that I have collated during the course of the research
• definitions of any unusual occupations

• military service record printouts [where available]
• any articles or extra information I may come across in the course of my research, such as newspaper articles, Old Bailey trial transcripts, etc.
• a report of suggested next steps for your research


The report of my research will also include two layouts of your family tree and will be received in paper and CD form delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

My rate is...

£15 an hour for carrying out the research into your family's history.

The hourly rate will also apply to any additional meetings and production of reports. A deposit of the minimum fee of £45 will be required in advance with balance on completion of the research. Payment can be made by cheque (in pounds sterling please).

Additional costs will be made for...

Fees for birth, marriage and death certificates at a current cost of £9.25 each.
Copies of wills and probate will be charged at the county record offices and archives standard rate.
Travel costs (to be agreed with you beforehand).
Specialist printing, copying and personalised presentation requirements.

Usually I am able to find the information you require, although in some cases it might not be possible; for example, where parish records are missing, ancestors have slipped through the census net, or when searching for records of those involved in WWI. If this happens, charges will still be made for the time spent on the research.

About June Reynolds

My interest in family history began following the death of my grandparents in the 1990s. I realised then how little I knew about my ancestors which has led to my passion in genealogy and in helping others who would like to trace their own piece of history.

During the research into my own ancestors and was able to trace my own family back to the 1600s. I discovered ancestors who were gardeners, shopkeepers, shoemakers, carman, dressmakers, brewers, whitsters, carpenters, excise men, lithographic artists and music hall entertainers. My research has even led to the discovery of distant relatives not only in the UK, but also in Australia.

After friends started to request that I research their family for them I decided to turn my hobby into a business. Much of my work is carried out using birth, marriage and death records, census returns and repositories such as The National Archives, Kew and London Metropolitan Archives.

I am a member of the Society of Genealogy and Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies in Canterbury.
