Restaurant - Japanese in Cardiff
140 Queen Street
Cardiff
South Glamorgan
CF10 2GP
Wales 1st conveyor-belt restaurant. Offering sushi and noodle dishes in the coolest surroundings. Also offers take-out, cyber-cafe, coffee by Segafredo
Although I love sushi and the concept of the conveyor belt and picking different coloured plates to signify the price is a smart one (although not original), this place is difficult to recommend. You can get much better food at Tenkaichi on City Road, and in reality the clever pricing system only serves to mask the poor value of small portions. If you're like me you'll feel short-changed and leave hungry!

Zushi is a very trendy looking sushi-bar at the heart of Cardiff. It has a conveyor belt where customers can pick plates of sushi.I was very disappointed with Zushi last time I went (May 08)though. They hardly had any choice on the conveyor belt and the food was not great: The avocado in one of the maki rolls was rock hard, and the only plates available were the most expensive ones... This was a very disappointing experience, especially as their sushi are not cheap. I would not recommend this place to my friends!

One of the nicest sushi restaurants in Cardiff (in my opinion). The food always tastes fresh and the restaurant itself always has plenty of places to sit, whether you want a high stool by yourself or a comfy table with a few friends, but it's light and airy, not in any way stuffy. It's usually quite empty, I don't think I've ever been there and it's been more than half-full. The people never hover over you, and they offer so many services like Zushi to go and office deliveries! Just take what you want from the conveyor belt (gives the place added cool) and call the staff over to tally up your bill at the end of your meal, and it's not expensive either. I reccommend the tuna Hosomaki and the grilled eel Nagiri (tastes better than it sounds, trust me).
