Physiotherapy

The Oxford English Dictionary defines physiotherapy as “the treatment of injury, disease or pain by physical methods". The CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists – all our physiotherapists are fully qualified members) says that physiotherapy helps restore movement and function to as near normal as possible when someone is affected by injury, illness or by developmental or other disability.

Podiatry

Podiatry is a form of healthcare that provides preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of patients with foot and lower limb injuries, including: Nail conditions; e.g. in-growing or infected, corns, calluses, verrucae, arch, heel or lower back pain, achilles tendon injuries, toes, knee and shin pains, plantar fasciitis, iliotibial band pain, differing leg length issues, uncomfortable orthotics. Biomechanical assessment is another important Podiatry tool that will ascertain as to whether Orthotics are needed. What we do here is a one hour biomechanical assessment, pre-fabricated insoles which are altered to suit any biomechanical issues diagnosed, custom designed (bespoke) orthotics for which we take an impression of the foot.
